It's late afternoon in Seacliff, San Francisco, as Henry Barbour turns with his usual care into his driveway and puts the car into the garage. He waves cheerfully to the gardener, and heads into the house to look for his wife. He's been over to see Elwood and Teddy in San Rafael, and he's come back with an idea... Elwood is having his whole house painted by a nitwit high school boy, who is doing a dreadful job, so he has volunteered their gardener, Arnie, to finish the job properly...
