In the second floor nursery at Joan Farnsworth's house, five doors up from the Barbour family home, Father Barbour is reading a bedtime story to his great-grandchildren. When the maid, Zephyr, comes in, she lets him know that Joan has set the wedding date, but it's news to Father Barbour, so he heads downstairs to find out the news for himself.
