The vital statistics column of marriages, births, deaths and divorce has one regular reader in the Barbour household. Father Barbour usually reaches this dull looking page with his second cup of coffee. Breakfasting with his wife, Fanny and his son, Paul, he suddenly lowers the paper, and is pleased to say that he hasn't seen the names of his contemporaries among the obituaries for years now! It seems he has outlived his generation.
