Archie has a new girlfriend, Gwendolyn who he met in the library the other night. Eddie asked him what he was doing in the library to which he replied, “It was raining outside.” Archie thinks if he can get Bob Crosby to sing to his girlfriend it will woo her in to marrying him. When Bob Crosby turns up at Duffy’s Tavern he introduces himself as “the Crosby without hope!”
