To publicise a picture called High and Dry, a picture which is still in the process of being filmed, Gregory Thompson famous Hollywood press agent pulls a stunt. He claims a medical student supplied him with a corpse from the morgue and Thompson plants the corpse on a motorboat and leaves the boat in the middle of the main street. But the stunt has a surprise ending when the corpse is found by the police and instead of being one from the morgue is identified as Burnetti, the director of High and Dry.
