Blue Bird

Broadcast: December 24, 1939
Added: Dec 24 2016

Shirley Temple opens this show by singing "Some Day You'll Find Your Blue Bird".

In 1908 Belgian playwright and poet Maurice Maeterlinck wrote this play, The Blue Bird, which carried a message the world sorely needed so that in a few years it was loved and known in every corner of the earth by young and old alike until to the whole world the Blue Bird became known as the symbol of happiness.

At the end of the show, Shirley Temple and Nelson Eddy treat you to the beautiful Christmas song, Silent Night.
