Sergeant Preston was on his way to headquarters in Dawson City when he was hailed by a young of 12. It was Bob and he told Preston that his pet bear called Black had been stolen a month ago. His chain had been filed in the night  but why would anyone want to steal a tame pet bear? Sergeant Preston said he would look out for information about the bear with the distinguishing white patch over his eye.
