A gang of three men are planning on kidnapping the son of John Warren a retired wealthy oilman. However one of the men Freddie gets scared and tells Ben that he can’t do it as he fears he will louse them up. He tells Ben he will leave town and go back to Texas however Ben can’t risk Freddie Lousing him and Joe up so he shoots Freddie and leaves him for dead at the side of the road. When Freddie is found later barely breathing he manages to whisper the name of the kidnapped boy’s father before he dies.
