The words Florida and winter never seem to make sense when you put them together and when circus people speak of Winter Quarter they are usually talking about Florida in the off season. Yet even in the off-season the circus is still a spread of excitement. Even in winter quarters it sprawls and it sweats and in spots it smells to high heaven.
