A couple of crooks have hoodwinked their way into the home of Hardy with a trunk for the nursery, after reading an article about a child who had inherited a fortune. The problem is, the article is dated in the 20s, and the 'child' is now an adult. When they break the news to him that they're going to kidnap him - he laughs in their faces, and then tries to plug the holes in their plan, so that their kidnap is a success.
