The Lone Ranger and Tonto were riding toward the town of Reed's Ferry when suddenly the masked man's great white stallion reared high. A rattlesnake was in their path, quickly obliterated by the Lone Ranger's sharp shooting. The shooting was admired by a stranger who had been hiding behind some trees, a man named Jordan who wanted to be the top man in the area, but who had run into somebody who doesn't scare quite so easily - a man named Bart Frazer.
