At the 42nd Bank and Trust Company where Jane Evans used to work, you can hear the clock atop Aimee Semple McPherson's Angelus Temple. Getting to the bank a little early that morning, Jane was hoping to see her fiancé Harold before the company opened for business. Sure enough, Harold was just hanging up his hat and coat, but his body language showed that he wasn't quite so pleased to see her, since the company frowned upon relationships between employees. Storming off from their short meeting, Jane went back to her bank teller's cage, opened up for business, and was promptly held up by an armed robber!
