This Cavalcade drama tells of a fascinating secret of World War II, a dangerous adventure undertaken by a civilian. It stars Burgess Meredith as Harold Moffett Professor of geology who receives a call from the war department in Washington. He is asked to go on a mission out of the country to do a worthwhile job but a job for his country that he may not return home from.
