Chuckie is worried about his trip with his father. Meta and Ted have words about it and Meta wonders why Ted ever bothered to become an American citizen. She does not agree with his strict ideas of bringing up their child and she tells him that they had no basis for marriage other than for their child and that their marriage is a total mockery.
