The Arabian Nights are tales of exotic romance and adventure. This Tue Boardman adaptation stars Marlene Dietrich as the fabulous princess Scheherezade. The first half hour of this episode is a a dramatic prologue the extraordinary story of the great King Schahriah and how Scheherezade the beautiful princess came to relate the tales of the Arabian Nights. Following this background of the proposed series is a complete half hour typical of one you might hear during a representative week of actual broadcasting. In fact it never was taken up as a series.
