Late one March evening Dr Watson found himself in the vicinity of Piccadilly Circus. It was cold and a steady drizzle of rain had dampened his spirits. He thought that a glass of wine and some music would put him in a better mood so he entered the Criterion Restaurant. Dr Watson began to reminisce of the last time he had been there, the night he met a young medical student by the name of Stamford. He was the man who had first introduced him to Sherlock Holmes. Suddenly he felt a tap on his shoulder and as he turned he found to his amazement young Stamford there again…
