Appendicitis Operation At Sea

A young seaman in pretty bad shape needs medical attention. However he is on a freighter 280 miles out at sea. The ship is fighting heavy seas ands won’t make port for 48 to 60 hours. The ships doctor was not on board and Dr Kildare is asked to talk to the captain and advise him what to do. The describe symptoms sound like an acute appendicitis and the seaman needs operating on as soon as possible.
