Jack Benny plays the part of the Amazing Mr Williams, so called because he is the only detective in the entire city who is one hundred percent. Yes he has a perfect record five years on the police force and not once has he solved a case or caught a criminal. Now detective Detective Jack Williams is determined to capture the "Phantom Slugger."
