Alice Adams, RKO film and Pulitzer Prize novel has been adapted for radio into a wonderful play featuring most of the original film cast. The play commences in the bedroom of a small house in New England. In the bedroom propped up by pillows is Virgil Adams. He’s a worn gray haired man with wistful eyes and an ordinarily friendly smile but the smiles not in evidence at the moment for he’s gazing distastefully at a bowl of soup on a tray as his wife enters…
