Business isn't too good at Alan's sign painting shop, so Alan's out trying to drum up a little trade. Right now he's at the little restaurant across the street, talking to Minnie - the owner of Minnie's famous Meatball Palace. Minnie's husband has been discharged from the Navy, so since she thinks that Alan's wasting his time making signs for her restaurant, he's going to make her husband a welcome home sign instead.
