Heading back to Lakeville in the Beechcraft after a long flight from South America, Hop, Tank, Gail and young Christopher Cross had a strange encounter with the pilot of a Stinson monoplane with a strange insignia, who flying recklessly, kept crowding Hop, until the young pilot's patience was exhausted, so he turned on the smaller plane and drove it away.
