As a clock in the distance began to strike eleven John Evans was on the verge of suicide by throwing himself in the river when a kindly man who too wanted to end his life invited him to join The Here After club. Each night the members would each be dealt a card by the president of the club and whoever was dealt the ace of clubs would be the inflicter of death and whoever received the ace of spades, the card of death, would be the one to die...
