A Joke Led To Gallows

Mike Gallagher was a salesman selling cakes of soap for $5 and claimed he was trying to make an honest living. When challenged about the quality of his soap he said he’d prove his product was good by washing a nearby pooch. But the pooch was King and King didn’t like Gallagher and the scent of Gallagher would remain with King and be his downfall when he later commits a serious crime.
