Len has been having a nightmare every night for two months, that the whole of San Francisco is on fire. He has been studying the city in terms of fire risk, and has deduced that every district has a high percentage of wooden houses. If there were to be some kind of natural disaster, it would lead to catastrophe and sheer devastation...

The 1906 San Francisco earthquake struck the coast of Northern California at 5:12am on April 18th with a moment magnitude of 7.8 and a maximum Mercalli intensity of XI (Extreme). Devastating fires broke out in the city that lasted for several days, and as a result, up to 3,000 people died and over 80% of the city of San Francisco was destroyed.
