For a while it looked like Sparkie was going to lose his leadership position in his club, all the boys in the neighborhood had decided that he was no longer going to be the leader. Why? Because Sydney Clarksteader the new boy who had moved in to the neighborhood has a father who is an inventor and he said he would invent an electric eye door for the clubs shack house in the woods. But then Ukey Betcha said he was an inventor and he would invent a better door and Sparkie could present it to the club.
