In Ben Calvert's medicine cabinet there was a small bottle which was supposed to contain a heart stimulant. There was another such bottle in his desk at the office. For weeks now, Jessie and her lover, Brett Cameron, had worked to create a situation which would result in Ben's having an attack and having to use his medicine - but the bottles contained only water. Their plan hadn't worked, and Brett was very sour about the situation...
