Mrs Brandon Craig phones that she has a job for Detective Brad Runyon and she is willing to pay him $500, she tells him he is certainly going to have to work for this. When he arrives at the house she tries to give him $20 to cancel the job then he spots a dead body through an open bedroom door. Mrs Craig said the dead man, John Roberts, was going out with her daughter and that she originally wanted to hire Runyon to protect her daughter from him. She then confesses to murdering the man but her story doesn't stack up. Is she covering for her daughter Lois?
