Doc Adams is treating his old friend Gryff, who has dislocated a vertebrae in his back. He's been working for himself up at the old Boathouse for his whole life, but lugging all of those heavy weights around these days, at his age, is just becoming too much for his body to take. The Doc's encouraging him to take on a new, young, fit apprentice who can do all of the heavy lifting for him, but he's not being very enthusiastic...
