It’s early afternoon shortly after the close of our last episode. As you know Sergeant Mary Moriarty is on special assignment posing as a prisoner in City Women’s Jail living in a cell next to Kate Beakman’s in an effort to win the girls confidence. Homicide detective Lieutenant Halverson gave Mary this special duty and as you know Halverson is not only Mary’s superior she is also his friend.
