Henry V was to succeed his father on the English throne, and was born in the castle of Monmouth on 9th August 1387. Carefree, he was the idol of the young bloods of his time, and their willing accomplice in many a prank. Later, he was to develop into a brave soldier, a firm disciplinarian and a brilliant general. He was crowned King, on 10th April 1413.
