At 11:10am on 7th March 1944 two men walked slowly up a garden path. Their orders were to arrest the occupant of the house, Wilhelm Ludvig Brunt, a general in the German army, for speaking out publicly against the Fuhrer. However, the arrest is to be made by his friend, Ernst Von Broker, who devises a plan for Wilhelm to escape instead. After several years in a Soviet camp, he sets out to find his friend again, to thank him for saving his life all those years ago...
