Who's Missing?

Who's Missing?

In the last couple of weeks, we had a 'Horror' poll. The question was... Who is your favorite star of horror and the macabre?

We had a phenomenal response to the poll - the best we've ever had - and since the results were soooo close, I thought I'd add a little fun to revealing the results.

But first, I have to hold my hands up and admit that I missed off one of the most famous stars of horror of all... Bela Lugosi

Joy and I received quite a few emails in from our friends of RUSC, who pointed out my little blunder. So thank you to all who took the time to send that in. I attempted to make amends by including a little Halloween radio station advert, which featured Bela Lugosi's image as Dracula. Did you see it?

If you never heard of Bela Lugosi, well here's a little more about him. He was born Béla Ferenc Dezső Blaskó on 20th October 1882 in Lugos, Hungary - and it's from his hometown that he based his surname in 1903.

After playing parts in several movies in both Hungary and Germany, he emigrated to America in 1920, where several years later, in a Broadway adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel, he was cast as Count Dracula, where he finally caught his big break, subsequently appearing in the 1931 Universal Pictures classic, Dracula, and going on to perform in several more horror movies.

Bela Lugosi also starred in several old time radio shows, Bela Lugosi as Dracula (Candid Microphone), Gasoline Cocktail (Crime Does Not Pay), and The Doctor Prescribed Death (Suspense).

But now, back to my little bit of fun... This comes in the form of another wordsearch. It's a short one - with just the stars from the 'Horror' poll included. However, the name of the winner of the poll, voted your absolute favorite, has been omitted from the wordsearch.

All that you need to do, is figure out who is missing from the wordsearch, and you'll know the answer to who has been voted the winner! To get started, click on the link below:-

The quiz is open to everyone, whether they're a member or not, so do feel free to share it with your friends.

Happy listening my friends,
