New Series On RUSC For Presidents's Day 

Treasury Star Parade

For Presidents's Day this year I have added to RUSC a new series with a patriotic feel, Treasury Star Parade.

The show was transcribed by the Treasury department from 1942 to 1944 to encourage the sale of War bonds. Each 15-minute patriotic dramas featured many of the top stars of the era who donated their talents to help the war effort.

The opening program begins with the magnificent baritone voice of Igor Gorin singing Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by two of the brightest stars of the American theatre, Miss Judith Anderson and Mr Maurice Evans in a starring performance of Jean La Touchet’s moving vignette in verse The Statue Of Liberty.
