The most important person in the history of radio

Over the past few weeks there's been a little survey up so that member's could vote for who they think was the greatest male comedy star in the history of radio? Lots of people voted, which is wonderful, thanks for that, so I thought I'd do another one. We can come back to comedy in a few months time and do best female comedy star, but for now I thought it would be fun to see who members think was the most important person in radio history.

There are lots of people to choose from including people at both sides of the microphone. I have my all-time favorites and I'm sure you'll have yours. Rather than me come up with my own personal short-list I thought it would be better if I opened it up to everyone so you could send in your nominations. I'll sort through the names you send in and produce a short list of the most appropriate ten. To send in the name of someone you think should be considered just enter their name below and click submit.

My first nomination would be:

My second nomination would be:

Once I've got enough names in I'll get the survey written and the voting can commence.

Happy listening my friends
