The Elusive Perry Mason Climax
Some of you may have been enjoying the recent episodes of Perry Mason in which the strategy of prosecutor Frederick Apt was to prove not only that Mae Grant killed Marcel Blanc but also to prove that Mae was passionately in love with the murdered man and that out of her infatuation grew the motive for murder. Of course we all know that Perry Mason will uncover the truth and prove that Mae Grant was innocent, yes of course we all know that, but that is not the reason I left you dangling with a cliff-hanger.
I guess I am going to have to come clean. We don't have the concluding
Episodes. Sooo sorreeeey!!!!!!
I began scheduling Perry Mason from show 2215 as I had a complete run through to episode 2254, well honestly after 39 episodes you would think the story would have concluded. I can give you my own account of how I think the story ends if you like, but first I asked a few collector friends to dig in to their collections (thanks Paul) to see if they could help and it seems that the missing episodes may, alas, no longer be in existence. Shame, but phew at least that gets me off the hook nicely.
I sincerely hope I haven't caused you too much disappointment. If it makes you feel any better, I was a bit miffed myself as I wanted to know how it ended too.
I can add more Perry Mason from episode 2686 right through to 2867.
There must be some complete stories in there. So from the 1st of August each day throughout the whole of August (except Wednesdays) I have added an episode. I will then reduce it to Saturday and Sunday weekly until we run out of episodes.
Seems August is going to be a month of daily serials as I have also added the complete 39 episodes of Tarzan “The Fires of Tohr” running through to the middle of September.
Happy listening my friends,
