The City Of The Dead

The City Of The Dead was the first story of the series Adventures by Morse named after its writer and creator, Carleton E. Morse. As the series was transcribed we are fortunate enough to be able to listen to all 52 episodes of the series and this 10-part adventure, which I am adding to RUSC from 9th June 2005, will complete the series.

I wanted to feature something special this month for you father’s out there so I will begin adding the story each day from 8th June culminating on Dads’ special day, Sunday 19th June, when you will discover the identity of old Claw Foot, the name of the man who rang the bell, what really became of grandfather Theodore Beverley, who the murderers were, who the grave looters were and what became of the famous collection of black pearls.

Elliott Lewis played the lead role of Captain Bart Friday in The City Of The Dead and in fact he had quite a career in radio. So much so that I have decided to feature some of his great performances throughout the month of June along with the shows which he has produced and directed including the two-part Suspense episode of Shakespeare's Othello.

So without further ado let’s begin now with the first episode of The City of the Dead entitled, The Adventure Begins

Happy listening my friends,

Ned Norris
