Thanks for the lovely feedback!

It's been a couple of weeks since I published the brand new version of RUSC. I'd like to thank everyone who has sent in kind words of encouragement since then. You have certainly made it all worthwhile. A lot of work went into it, and so it is lovely to know that the hard work is appreciated.

Here's just one of the great messages we've received. I'm putting this one up because Ken reminds me so much of me, and I'm sure lot of you too, who love to listen to shows in bed on a night.

This is what Ken had to say:

Ned...you asked for feedback from everyone regarding the new site, so here is my story.  I am 59 and last year retired.  I suppose it was back in 1993 and 94 I first got completely infatuated with the OJ Simposon trial.  So infatuated that I went and bought several "audio books" about the trial and at night I would go to sleep listening to those books with headphones.  After a few months I began to interested in Louie Lamore audio stories...and would listen to THOSE at nights drifting off to sleep.

Wasn't long before "someone"at the office encouraged me to begin listening to OTR.  I had never even considered OTR however I began finding free sites and listening to my favorites...Lone Ranger, Dragnet...and Gunsmoke.  One day I happened on to RUSC and immediately fell in love with the site.  I am SOOO addicted to listening to OTR at night...and all night that even when my wife and I go on vacation...the FIRST thing which gets packed is my laptop containing all of my OTR shows.

My wife of 34 years tells me I am "sick" because of my OTR fetish.  Be that as it may...it is now completely impossible for me to go to bed WITHOUT my headphones and laptop.  For 10 years now at bedtime I go STRAIGHT to RUSC on Demand,...load the shows I want to hear for the night,...press PLAY...and "fade into dream land" listening to Gunsmoke, Tales of the Texas Rangers, The Six Shooter, Frontier Gentleman, Richard Diamond, Yours Truly Johnny Dollar, Jack Benny, Phil Harris (my favorite)...and many many others.

I have to admit,...last week when I went to RUSC and saw that everything...I was angry as HELL that someone would "dare" to mess with with something which (in my view) was already PERFECT!!  I got SO angry that I was ready to cancel my memership!!  How dare you or anyone else screw around with "perfection!"

But...I have to admit that after working with the NEW version of RUSC... I WAS DELIGHTED!!!  The new version of RUSC is GREAT!!!  Thanks for making my OTR listening experience a GREAT ONE!!!

Your Friend and fellow OTR junkie!!

Isn't that lovely?

The only flea in the ointment has been Apple. iPhone and iPad users seem to have been having a problem playing shows. Also, other Apple Mac users who use Safari as their browser were having to log-on every time they visited. I'm pleased to say the latter has now been fixed (it is a bug in Safari, but I managed to find a workaround), and the iPhone and iPad users should be happy soon as the mobile version is almost ready to release into the wild. In fact, you can check out a beta release by pointing you smartphone's browser to:

http://m.rusc.com    (just type m.rusc.com without the http:// and you should be fine)

If anyone does spot anything with either the main site, or the beta version of the mobile version please do let me know as I WILL get anything you let me know about fixed. Just click on the feedback link and let me know the problem you're having, along with any details, and I will get straight onto it.

Thanks again for all the lovely words of support over the last few weeks.

Happy listening my friends,

Ned Norris
