Super Bowl Sunday!

Super Bowl Sunday!

On Sunday 7th February it is Super Bowl 50! Will you be supporting the Carolina Panthers, or the Denver Broncos? And what has happened to the lovely roman numerals this year?

I put up a little poll last week, to see who you guys were rooting for - and even though the Carolina Panthers should theoretically be the victors, based on their better overall record, it's the Denver Broncos who have been the front-runners in our poll - so it looks like a big percentage of you are hoping the underdog comes through!

There could still be some late support for the Carolina Panthers though, so if you'd like to include your vote, just click on the poll to the right of this article.

To celebrate Super Bowl 50, I have added more shows to our dedicated sports radio station, and here's the link if you'd like to listen:-

RUSC Sports Radio Station

The RUSC Sports radio station includes everything from fishing to boxing, horse racing to skiing, as well as the old favorites, baseball, basketball and football. But, if you'd prefer to stick to the old football games this week, you can always listen to some NFL Broadcasts.

So, back to those lovely roman numerals... Where did they go? Maybe I'm a fan of tradition, but I'm not sure I like replacing what should be 'Super Bowl L' with those far less exciting every day numbers! But next year, at least we'll be back on track with 'Super Bowl LI' in Houston. What are your thoughts on them being ditched this year?

Amidst the excitement of the countdown to the big clash on Sunday, there's speculation about this being controversial quarterback, Peyton Manning's, last game. I’ve spent plenty of years hating the way he and his receivers beat my team, but now I'm just hoping that he puts on an entertaining show for us one more time...

Whatever the result, may the best team win!

Happy listening my friends,

Ned Norris
