RUSC Affiliate Scheme

Without the on-going support of members like yourself RUSC simply would not exist as the expenses of running such a site are considerable to say the least - you want to see my wife's face when the credit card bill comes in. With the introduction of RUSC-On-Demand (which is nearly ready to return) the expenditure has continued to climb and so I've revamped the RUSC Affiliate Scheme which I introduced a few years back.

RUSC-On-Demand

I posted a message earlier in the week regarding the imminent return of RUSC-On-Demand. The good news is that the file conversion is progressing at a faster rate than expected, but the bad news is that I then need to start the whole process over again to convert the files into a RealAudio format. I was hoping that RealPlayer would be able to cope with streamed WMA files, but according to Real it will only play WMA files if they are stored on the users computer, which isn't appropriate for streaming. So, I need to provide sufficient storage for the files in three different formats; MP3 for downloading in the normal way at WMA and RealAudio for streaming.

I will probably bring back RUSC-On-Demand without RealAudio support first, hopefully in about two weeks time, and then add support for Real in about a month when all the conversion work has been done. I'll keep you posted.
