New Series On RUSC - Frontier Town

When I first listened to this show recently it reminded me of Gunsmoke. The sound and whole feel had a striking similarity but in Frontier Town the lead character is town lawyer Chad Remington who grew up in the town of Rios Dos, Spanish for two rivers but then left to go to Law school. For the first 23 episodes of Frontier Town the lead role was played by Jeff Chandler and in the final 24 episodes by Reed Hadley. When Chad received news that his father had been murdered he came back to Dos Rios to bring to justice his Father’s killer. With his sense of fairness and justice just like Matt Dillon in Gunsmoke, Chad is intent on making Rios Dos a better place to live in. Like Matt Dillon’s “sidekick” Chester, Chad Remington also has a “sidekick” in the form of the hard-drinking livery stable owner, Cherokee O’Bannon played by Wayne Crosby.

Unfortunately, there were only 47 episodes of this show made but fortunately they are all still in existence. I have added one to RUSC Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this week and will continue to add them each Saturday thereafter.
