New Series On RUSC - A Life In Your Hands

Well, here we are back from our vacation and fully relaxed and recharged! While away it gave Joy and I a chance to listen to a great new series for RUSC.

Anyone who is a fan of Perry Mason or courtroom dramas is going to be highly delighted with the latest addition to RUSC, A Life In Your Hands.

A Life In Your Hands is a courtroom murder melodrama, which ran as a substitute series during the summers of 1949 through 1952. The hero of the show is Jonathan Kegg who is a lawyer of a very special kind. When he appears in court Jonathan Kegg acts only in the capacity of amicus curiae, which is Latin for friend of the court. It refers to a lawyer who enters a case neither on behalf of the prosecution or the defence and acts impartially seeking only the truth by cross examination of the witnesses.

Earle Stanley Gardner creator of the famous Perry Mason, Doug Selby and dozens of equally outstanding fictional characters is credited with creating Jonathan Kegg and A Life In Your Hands though his involvement was by name only.

We have 10 episodes of this series, which I will begin adding this weekend and over the next few weeks. We will also be adding more detective stories such as Nick Carter, Master Detective, Richard Diamond, Private Detective, Sherlock Holmes and Adventures of Frank Race.

Happy listening my friends,

Ned Norris
