It's such a shame...

The daughter of Peg Lynch, has sent an email to Joy and I asking us to remove all of the Ethel and Albert, and Couple Next Door shows from the RUSC website, due to an exclusivity deal she has signed with an Old Time Radio CD Distributor.

As a lifelong fan of Peg's work, it's mine (and probably many of yours) opinion that she is without doubt, one of the greatest stars of radio both in front of the microphone as an actress, and behind the scenes as a highly accomplished writer of well over ten thousand scripts. 

If you have been a friend of RUSC for a long time, you may remember back in 2003 when she kindly agreed to be interviewed by myself and the member's of RUSC. 

It was such an honor for me to speak to Peg on the telephone, to reminisce about the old times, and have a little gossip about her long and illustrious career in show-business. 

Back then, she was more than happy for us keep her work alive, and over the years we have no doubt introduced many, many new enthusiasts to her legacy. Alas, that was over ten years ago now, and as she has reached the grand age of 97 years young, Peg's daughter, Astrid, is now taking care of her estate, so we must do as she has requested.

Sadly, this does mean that Joy and I will be taking down all of the Couple Next Door and Ethel and Albert shows one-by-one over the next few days.
