Happy Easter and New to RUSC The Amazing Mr Malone

Happy Easter!

Easter is almost upon us and Baby Snooks is badgering her daddy to buy her some new clothes for the Easter day parade! Whilst Luigi, in Life With Luigi, is busy preparing a surprise party for Rosa, which turns out to be more of a surprise for his friends, when they arrive to find there is no food!

New to RUSC on Saturday 26th March is The Amazing Mr Malone which was also at one time known as Murder And Mr Malone. It is a thirty minute crime drama staring Frank Lovejoy and sometimes George Petrie or Eugene Raymond as the amazing John J. Malone attorney and counsellor of law whose practice before every type of bar has become legendary!

The stories are based on the novels by Craig Rice (pseudonym of Georgiana Ann Randolph Craig). She actually wrote eleven Malone novels,one of which was her first book, Eight Faces at Three which was written in 1939. The Amazing Mr Malone  began its radio life in January 1947 and with a few breaks in between ended in July 1951.
