Fed up of his boss Janouth, George Stroud quits his job as crime editor for a magazine. In a crime of passion Janouth kills his lover Patricia York and tries to pin the crime on a mysterious man named Mr Green who was last seen with Patricia. Janouth enlists George Stroud to find Mr Green however Storud realizes that he is the mysterious Mr Green and works against time to prove himself innocent and uncover the real killer.

The show is introduced by Paramount Pictures screen director John Farrow (Maureen O'Sullivan's real life husband).
