Jazz is the music of our nation, beginning in small caberets in Dixieland and spreading to the orchestras of our country. and when aimless youth Rick Martin learns he has a gift for music, falling in love with playing the trumpet. Rick becomes a star trumpeter, but his volatile ways lead him to play two kinds of music - one for his job, and one for himself - which doesn't always end well for him...
