Chris was all that Mary ever wanted and he was taken from her tragically in the war. Shortly after while still grieving she learns that she is pregnant but she is emotionally charged and fearful of bringing a child in to this mad world until she is visited in adream and taken in to the lives of the women in her past who had no fear and brought hope in to the future.
