Randy Stone covers the night beat for the Chicago Star searching through the city for strange stories waiting for him in the darkness. Tonight’s story starts when Randy walks into a nice little guy’s private world and it blew up right in his face.
The show starts off with Randy Stone taking a punch on the jaw from ex-boxing champion Billy Candell who is supposed to be his friend. Randy has known Billy for a long time, a sweet gentle guy who seemed to be living in a world of his own, a world nobody knew about and cared less. Randy suspects there must be a reason for Billy to behave in such a fashion and so goes after him to get some answers only to find that nothing is as it seems.
