When Dorris Fleming’s husband went on trial she was the only one who stood by him to the cost of her reputation and it became impossible for her to live a normal life. Six years ago when she gave birth to her child Dr Christian was the physician and he suggested that she change her name to Mrs Harriet Niles and move to Rivers End to begin a new life. She now runs a dress shop, is a wonderful mother and is happily until John Potter discovers her past and tries to force her to leave.
