I have in my hand a curious little book called the Witches Almanac. I'm looking at a page which contains a recipe for a witch's broth. Rendered eye of newt, pressed gall of goat, extract of lizard's liver, garnish with fur of bat, and minced tail of a poisoned rat. Boil in alcohol and lace with the blood of one virgin. Ludicrous? Or Horrifying? The date of the book is seventeenth century, but witches do still live, and believe it or not, are still casting spells.
