Lamont Cranston and Margo Laine are investigating a series of strange disappearances. In each case the girl has been blond, penniless and friendless. Suddenly there's a strange break in the pattern and Lamont and Margo go to police head quarters and Commissioner Weston. Lamont has his suspicions about the racket and asks the commissioner to give him a chance o solve the case before he moves on it.
